Pursuing MBA from Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology (Mohali)

Don’t know if my decision in choosing this institute is right or wrong.. But, still they’re very strict with their rules & discipline. Even my BBA lectures at Amity  School of Business (Noida) weren’t that long. I mean the college timings are too long, and I hate its schedule from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm.

August 26, 2010 Today, I feel my decision in choosing this college wasn’t right. The faculty here, treats students as if they are school students. Their behavior isn’t professional and they try to show off more than what they actually posses. I’m now thinking to shift to some other college.

WiMAX is now available in many parts of Punjab

Many cities/towns of Punjab have limited number of Broadband connections. In response to the increasing demand, WiMAX service is introduced. WiMAX is like WiFi broadband and need not require any wiring. The only thing required is that your area should come under the WiMAX range, which is quite good in case of my town. There’s only one plan for home users: Rs.999/month for 512kbps unlimited download. Plus, Rs.40 as monthly rental for WiMAX CPE (Modem) Device + Taxes as applicable OR you can purchase that device for Rs.4200+taxes, which I guess is quite hefty. The best advantage here is that you can carry your WiMAX device at any part of Punjab wherever WiMAX range is there, and it will work without any problem. I’m currently using my WiMAX in Chandigarh as well.

Please note that currently CPE devices available with BSNL doesn’t have in-built WiFi. So, if you’re planning to use it on a Wireless Network, you must purchase an additional Wireless Router. Else, you can connect to Internet with the LAN/Ethernet cable (Default).
